Why give to NYVAA ,
rather than to NYC’s legacy schools?

  • Ideologically captured legacy institutions pushing “diversity, inclusion, and equity” routinely discriminate against talented individuals who don’t check the right “diversity” boxes. We aim to change that and focus on merit alone.

  • Whereas donations to legacy schools such as Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, and Mannes, end up covering a gargantuan, self-serving bureaucracy that has exploded by 80% over the last decades, NYVAA will be run in such a fiscally responsible way so that donations will directly impact our students, rather than lining up the pockets of administrators.

  • Donations made in the USA by both individuals and corporations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by US law.

  • Your donations have the ability to dramatically impact and change the life of young, talented artists.

Success stories such as that of Raúl Gutiérrez, who, within a few months, thanks to the help of NYVAA went from being an unknown, impoverished, struggling artist with enormous potential to enjoying international success in some of Europe’s best opera houses and festivals can be replicated with your help.

  • We aim to collaborate with both casting directors and performance venues so that our students will get professional experience and exposure in the most important cultural hub in the Americas, which is, undoubtedly, New York City, and will be noticed by industry leaders.

“The staff at NYVAA was thoroughly committed to helping me during the time I spent studying in NYC under their aegis. I received daily voice lessons and coaching, and on top of that, they helped me by organizing auditions for young artist programs and agents, and also helped me secure the funding to audition in Zurich, to whose opera studio I have now belonged for the past two seasons. NYVAA helped me take the first steps towards forging an international career. I can’t recommend them enough.”
