About the event:

The New York Vocal Arts Academy (NYVAA), in collaboration with Gotham Arts, is hosting a masterclass with two of New York’s finest voice teachers: Michael Paul, and Emilio Pons.

Michael Paul has been teaching voice in New York City for decades. His students sing in all the major stages of the world.

Masterclass structure:

Four singers will work with both Michael Paul and Emilio Pons on aspects ranging from vocal technique, to diction, style and interpretation.
Participation is limited to four participants (ideally: 2 male singers, 2 female singers).
Each participant will be taught for a total of 40 minutes.

Tuition and board:

Active participants are required to pay a $90 fee.
Auditors (singers with active student IDs) are required to pay a $20 fee.
The rest -singer auditors who are no longer students, and general members of the audience- are required to pay a $30 fee.

To avoid frivolous applications, a $20 application fee is payable via VENMO to @nyvaa-inc (last four digits of NYVAA’s work number for Venmo verification: 7007).
Please note that, if selected to participate, your application fee will be applied as a rebate towards your participation fee (i. e., if selected, you’ll only have to pay an additional $70). If not selected to participate, your application fee will be allotted to your auditor fee and you will owe no extra money.
